Sankai is inspired by the enduring relationship between mountain and sea, brought together within an infinity form. Mountains rise as symbols of permanence and resilience, while ocean waves represent movement, return, and the passage of time. Together, they form a symbol of eternity — a reminder that while all things are shaped by time, some remain beyond it.

This evolution is intentional. Frequent polishing is not required or recommended, as it may remove the surface contrast and soften the aged finish.

If desired, gently polish only the raised surfaces with a soft silver cloth to restore brightness while preserving the darker recessed details.

Sankai Pendant was handcrafted in Kyoto, Japan, with its mountain and sea motifs individually carved into a continuous infinity form before being cast in sterling silver. Each piece is then oxidized and hand-finished to deepen the contours, allowing light, shadow, and patina to reveal the landscape over time. A symbol of mountains that endure, seas that return, and the eternity held between them.
